**Job Description Summary

As a Carers Support Lead Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional benefits service to carers across Lincolnshire.

Your responsibilities will include developing an innovative and engaging benefits service, creating a culture of continuous learning, and identifying gaps and developing new functions that contribute to contract delivery.

You will be expected to motivate and inspire a team, empower them to thrive through visible day-to-day leadership and management, and create a positive environment that enables the team to work together to achieve their goals.

The Benefits Team Lead will cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, identify and develop new partnership opportunities to create better outcomes for carers, and support advisers with complex benefits inquiries, appeals, and service delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of social care and health, particularly in relation to adults
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of DWP benefits, particularly in relation to carers, including fringe benefits

Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £40,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience, and includes training and development opportunities, good annual leave entitlement, flexible working options, access to a workplace pension, employee assistance program, and Benenden Healthcare package.
