Job Description

As Commercial Initiatives Lead, you will be responsible for driving strategic projects across the business, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class shopping experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing commercial strategies that meet business objectives
  • Leading complex project scopes, ensuring timely delivery and meeting customer needs
  • Maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and managing budgets
  • Collaborating with internal functions to ensure smooth project execution

You will report to the Head of Format & Commercial Initiatives, working closely with Design, Format, Commercial, Retail, GNFR, and IS teams to develop operational benchmarks for future store compliance.

The role involves maximising commercial opportunities through programme alignment and feasibility for concessions, building supplier relationships to facilitate annual negotiations, and coordinating activity across functions and business units to deliver trading strategy revenue goals.

With a strong focus on delivering results, you will be accountable for providing clear periodic dashboard updates to Senior Execs, illustrating Commercial Initiative progress.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience presenting within senior forums
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to critique analysis and challenge assumptions
  • Highly organised, with good planning skills to ensure delivery of necessary activities
  • Commercial awareness, with an appreciation of customer needs and market trends
