Sales Development Director

QinetiQ is a leading innovator in the UK Defence sector, delivering cutting-edge research and development. We are expanding our Business Development team to drive growth and exploit new technologies.
As Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and winning new business within QinetiQ's S&T business. You will work closely with technical leads to drive growth in the ISBP, supporting the UK Defence Sector growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a credible pipeline, securing in-year order intake commitments and building a platform for future growth.
- Shape opportunities and provide leadership during early qualification phases, leading and/or supporting the QinetiQ Business Winning process as appropriate through to contract award.
- Ensure opportunities and solutions are developed to maximise customer outcomes while optimising QinetiQ's competitive and market positions.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years demonstrated success in Defence industry BD, with some international business development and sales experience.
- Proven track record of accomplishment in leading the generation of new and follow-on business, building a credible pipeline with high conversion rate.
Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum. QinetiQ offers a competitive salary package, including benefits such as pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave entitlement.
