Reception Team Lead

Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and oversight to the reception and administrative team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
- Act as a liaison between the management team and reception staff to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Support the Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager, and Operations Manager in driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the practice's overall performance.
- Ensure that the reception team provides exceptional patient care, assistance, and direction to patients accessing the practice's services in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Lead by example, promoting a positive and supportive team culture that fosters growth and development.
- Implement and maintain practice procedures and policies to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Ensure all daily tasks are completed before the end of the day, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
- Provide general support to the practice team, projecting a professional and friendly image to patients and visitors.
- Contribute to the practice's achievement of target-based functions, such as Quality and Outcomes Framework or Locally Commissioned Services.
- Maintain a safe and organized working environment, possessing a thorough understanding of practice procedures and ensuring the reception team operates in accordance with established protocols.
- Resolve patient queries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to plan the reception rota, ensuring adequate coverage at all times, including during staff absences and breaks.
- Quickly resolve IT issues, including problems with printers, the EMIS system, calling board, and check-in machine.
- Train new and existing staff to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
