Rethink Mental Illness is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our team at Grove Court Service, a 24-hour Residential Care Home providing support to individuals affected by severe mental illness.

The successful candidate will have line management responsibility, conducting appraisals, supervising and supporting team members, and contributing to the recruitment and delivery of induction plans for new staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Allocating work and monitoring team performance to achieve overall objectives and outcomes;
  • Identifying and developing talent within the team;
  • Supporting the Registered Manager with managing rotas and prioritizing key areas of work;
  • Ensuring appropriate staff resource is in place to meet service contracts and specifications;
  • Contributing to effective communication and liaison with other services and professionals;
  • Assisting the Registered Manager with networking and engagement with stakeholders.

Essential skills and experience include:

  • Experience in providing support to individuals with mental illness or in a social care setting;
  • Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and embedding them into practice;
  • Ability to assess individual needs and develop support plans.
