Production Supervisor

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our thriving Welding and Fabrication department. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for leading a medium-sized team in producing fabrications and welded components safely, on time, and to required quality levels within the production plan.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead team members to manufacture products within required timescales and to the correct quality.
- Identify and countermeasure plan slippage, escalating the need for resource where required.
- Manage and minimize overtime to deliver projects within target costing.
- Provide clear direction to team members and ensure that the team delivers to the required standard.
- Previous experience supervising medium-sized teams and ideally a minimum of 2 years' experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- A knowledge of plating and welding would be advantageous as would working knowledge of ERP systems and a Lean Six Sigma yellow or green belt.
- Flexible approach with the ability to motivate a team and prioritize effectively while working to strict targets and deadlines.
- Naturally possess a flexible, enthusiastic approach with a can-do attitude and the ability to manage your time effectively while working to tight targets and deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, focusing on quality at all times.
- Self-motivated and confident when taking responsibility for all areas of work.
