About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mental Health Team Manager to join our team at Grove Court Service, a 24-hour Residential Care Home providing support to individuals affected by severe mental illness.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for line management, conducting appraisals, supervising and supporting team members, and contributing to the delivery of induction plans for new staff.

You will work under the direction of the Registered Manager to set targets and monitor performance of the team by:

  • Allocating work and monitoring the team's contribution to the overall objectives and outcomes for the service;
  • Identifying and developing talent, and ensuring potential is maximised within your team;
  • Supporting the Registered Manager with managing rotas, planning, and prioritising key areas of work;
  • Liaising with the Registered Manager to ensure appropriate staff resource is in place to meet the service contract and specification;
  • Contributing to effective communication and liaison with other services and professionals, including statutory and voluntary agencies, and community groups;
  • Assisting the Registered Manager with networking and engagement with relevant stakeholders of the service.

Key Skills and Experience:

We are looking for an individual with experience of providing support to people with a mental illness, or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting.

You should have knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and the ability to make a comprehensive assessment of an individual's situation and needs.
