Trident Systems Integration Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our Trident Engineering team in Barrow-in-Furness.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide engineering support to the Task Authorisation Forms and ensure that GFE material is rectified.
- To review US supplied documents for impact on the UK platform and distribute them to internal stakeholders for review and comment.
- To engage with the Change Management community via the Enterprise Change Request (ECR) process to ensure a full impact assessment is conducted.
- To provide engineering SQEP to assist with verification of US & UK requirements.
- To contribute to the development of an enduring Trident Engineering capability.
- To encourage and guide continuous improvement, challenging current practice where appropriate.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Chartership or working towards.
- Understanding of the role of an SSBN, its mission and how the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) contributes to it.
- Understanding of the operation of the SWS and the platform equipment and services required to allow it to meet availability targets.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the US-supplied product, and how they impact on UK platform design.
- Ability to contribute to the SWS Engineering/integration aspects of documentation reviews, design reviews and decision panels.
- Basic understanding of Life Cycle Management.
