Nuclear Mechanical Systems Design Authority: We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Engineer to take on the role of Mechanical Design Authority for our Nuclear Systems team in Barrow-in-Furness. As a senior technical specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of mechanical system designs throughout the entire lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Review and approve mechanical designs for compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Provide guidance on design best practices and standards.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address design issues.
  4. Develop and implement design procedures and guidelines.

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, particularly in the nuclear sector.
  • Experience with ASME, IEEE, and other relevant codes and standards is essential.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are required to manage multiple stakeholders and projects.
