We are looking for a talented Senior/Principal Engineer - Mechanical Engineering (Platform Systems) to join our team at BAE Systems.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that commitments are agreed, reviewed, and met. They will also be required to author/co-author technical reports, papers, articles, patents, and presentations as needed.
A strong understanding of engineering lifecycle processes and proficiency in CAD, MS Office, and other IT applications is essential. The ability to solve complex engineering calculations and design documentation with the ability to present these to customers and wider groups is also crucial.
Responsibilities- Design and Development: Develop and implement design solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Prototyping: Specify and assist in the build of prototypes, products, and systems suitable for testing.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers regarding technical matters.
- Presentations: Make effective presentations to technical and management audiences.
- Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Mechanical or Science Subjects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, based on experience.
