Strategic Risk Manager

About the Role
This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced professional to develop and implement a new risk management strategy for IM&T at BAE Systems.
As part of the IM&T Governance & Assurance team, you will be responsible for assessing current risk management practices within IM&T, aligning them with enterprise risk management practices led by project management & controls, overseeing enhancements, and managing ongoing IM&T risk management efforts.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Tailor, implement, and maintain the risk management strategy, policies, procedures, and plan for the programme in line with business processes.
- Monitor and audit the quality, application, and effectiveness of the risk management process, including risk toolset, and provide assurance to the programme and business.
- Evaluate and challenge risk data.
- Guide and influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
Requirements
- Experienced professional with extensive knowledge of risk management (tools, techniques, practices) and good knowledge within an IT environment.
- Strong analytical skill set with proven ability to integrate, interpret, and articulate risk information across multiple project areas.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to guide and influence at a senior level internally and externally.
