Job Title: Platform Safety Assurance Manager

Salary: From £55,000 dependent on experience.

About the Role:

This position supports the BAES-SM production of the safety Build Assurance Justification. Key responsibilities include reviewing and ascertaining the appropriateness of the Safety Argument and Safety Evidence provided by BAE, ensuring the platform is built to design intent. The incumbent will liaise with the Barrow Safety Assurance Manager on any concessions where the Platform build differs from design intent.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills and experiences with senior board levels.
  • Programme management experience.
  • Previous experience in build assurance or maritime platforms of complex systems.
  • Good experience of technical risk management/governance procedures.
  • Hold a degree within a STEM subject.

About the Dreadnought Alliance:

The Dreadnought Alliance is a collaboration between Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems (BAES) and the Ministry of Defence to deliver the Dreadnought Class SSBN programme. The scope of the Dreadnought Programme is the delivery of four SSBNs to the Royal Navy to maintain Continuous At Sea Deterrence (CASD). This post is part of the Joint Design Authority within the Dreadnought Alliance, which is the Platform & Whole Boat Design Authority for Dreadnought, structured around the Alliance Project Team engineering team and BAES Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) team.
