Job Overview:

The role of Administrative Assistant - Bursary Support Specialist at USP College is to coordinate the processing of all bursary applications within established procedures, systems, and college policy. This involves ensuring that evidence provided by students is accurate and appropriate.

In addition to coordinating bursary applications, this position also entails managing college bus services and liaising with the current provider to guarantee a smooth-running service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process all bursary applications following established procedures, systems, and College policy.
  • Verify and ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of submitted evidence from students.
  • Monitor and track bursary applications, providing timely updates as required.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions and Attendance Manager to allocate bursary applications fairly and transparently.
  • Enter accurate data into the College Management Information System and complete related administrative tasks within specified deadlines.
  • Facilitate the loan of Bursary-purchased laptops to students.
  • Update transport information in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate all college transport mailings, ensuring seamless communication with parents and students.
  • Provide high-quality reports and communication as required, serving as the primary contact for transport queries.

This role requires an individual with experience working with young people, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a busy environment. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of Microsoft Office and be adept at adapting to new software.
