Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Power Systems Business Segment. During your internship, you will gain hands-on experience in assessing the durability of our components, systems, and products to ensure they meet the highest standards for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the durability of our components, systems, and products to ensure they are fit for use by the end customer.
- Measure and analyze the performance of our products in various environments, including engine test cells and in the field.
- Design and conduct experiments using advanced telemetry and test equipment to define the durability of components and systems used on Cummins power systems.
- Communicate your findings and recommendations to colleagues and stakeholders around the world.
- Enhance your skills in engineering mechanics, digital signal processing, CAD, practical instrumentation, and rig building.
Requirements
- We are looking for a wide range of candidates studying towards a STEM-related degree with a passion for engineering.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to develop your skillset.
- Good data analysis skills would be highly beneficial to support with analyzing test results.
