Actemium Mechanical, part of the VINCI Energies Group, is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Intermediate General Welder Apprentice. This exciting opportunity will provide you with the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the Role
As an Intermediate General Welder Apprentice, you will be responsible for achieving a quality of work that meets international standards for dimensional and surface inspection. You will also prepare, check, and protect materials and work areas ready for welding, identify and understand the causes of typical welding defects, and understand and identify hazards and basic health, safety, and quality requirements when welding.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve a quality of work to meet international standards for dimensional and surface inspection (Visual, Magnetic)
- Prepare, check, and protect materials and work area ready for welding.
- Identify and understand the causes of typical welding defects and how their occurrence can be reduced, for the materials and welding processes selected
- Understand and identify hazards and basic health, safety, and quality requirements when welding.
- Planning and preparation to ensure production and Continuing Professional Development goals are achieved.
- Reliability and dependability to consistently deliver expectations in production, quality, work ethics, and self-development.
Requirements
- GCSE Grade 3 or above in English & Maths
- Interest in Engineering
- A focused and dedicated approach to your learning and development
- Creativity, boldness, curiosity, ambition, and commitment
About Actemium Mechanical
Actemium Mechanical provides engineering design, project management, installation, and commissioning of electrical, mechanical, and IT services in the United Kingdom since 1907. We work in partnership with Northamptonshire college to provide apprentice training at their specialist centres.
