Job Description:

As the Director, Global Reward and Benefits with MUFG Investor Services, you will be responsible for developing the Company's Reward and Benefits strategy and processes to ensure they reflect the competitive, market relevant and globally consistent.

The role will have a focus on both compensation and benefits, ensuring the offerings are aligned to the strategic direction of the Company and provides value for both our employees and the Company.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Reward and HR Operations, this is an amazing opportunity to support the further development of the Reward and Benefits team in a unique and fast-paced organization.

This is a newly created role in order to meet the demands of an organization which is continuing to grow and expand into new territories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a comprehensive compensation strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Further develop and manage the annual pay review cycle, ensuring that pay decisions are fair, consistent, and in line with market trends.
  • Refine pay frameworks to ensure they are competitive, equitable, and support the attraction and retention of top talent.
  • Control the reward and benefits budget, ensuring that costs are managed effectively. Working with our Finance team to provide greater insights on pay movements versus budget.
  • Oversee executive remuneration, ensuring that packages are competitive and aligned with company performance.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on compensation and benefit-related queries and work with the wider HR team in further developing benefits awareness and understanding.
  • Support Reward and Benefits team with administration and reporting (Annual Salary Review, Bonus, Benefits administration, Benchmarking).
  • Advise HR leads and leadership on their reward and benefit challenges in relation to our business/people strategy.
  • Work with other teams and functions in support of company-wide initiatives and projects.
    • Experience working with Global Compensation & Benefits, preferably from a large, complex Financial Services global organization or Banking Sector.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Experience managing a team.
    • Well-cultivated critical thinker with a metrics-driven approach to all solutions.
    • Capacity to stretch from high-level, strategic thinking to making things happen day-to-day.
    • Collaborative facilitator who develops relationships with colleagues across the business.
    • Strong work ethic – raises performance levels of others.
    • Diverse knowledge of job architecture, short- and long-term incentive compensation, salary surveys, benefits benchmarking, and Total Rewards strategy.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex global compensation information to influence team members at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong analytical skills using both qualitative and quantitative data with the ability to interpret global compensation data to make recommendations to senior leaders.
