About the Role:

The Financial Ombudsman Service is seeking an experienced Reward Strategist to join our HR team. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping and implementing our total reward framework, ensuring it aligns with our people strategy and enhances our employee offer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive reward strategy, considering employee needs, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Lead the payroll function, ensuring efficient and compliant processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to embed our new reward strategy, progression framework, and flexible benefits offering.
  • Analyze data to inform pay and benefits decisions, ensuring competitiveness and value for money.
  • Build effective relationships with senior leaders, finance, and communications teams to deliver successful annual pay review cycles.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of delivering Board-level papers on pay, bonus, and benefits matters.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Head of Reward (or equivalent) level position, with a track record of implementing and managing reward frameworks.
  • Understanding of HR systems and platforms, with experience in transforming the employee experience and improving processes and governance.
  • Strong leadership experience, with excellent leadership skills, and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
