Technical Support Specialist

A highly skilled Technical Support Specialist is required to join our client's expanding function in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Lorien's client, a fast-growing SAAS company with a great name in their domain, are seeking an individual with proven technical support skills and a good grasp of databases, TSQL and SQL Server.

This role would be perfect for someone looking to move into a growing firm with exciting projects on the horizon, offering a range of incentives (including bonuses, flexible working, private healthcare, recognition rewards, professional development and ongoing upskilling avenues), and friendly people to work with.

  1. Take ownership of database and application environment support, including performance monitoring and management.
  2. Tackle technical issues reported by users, prioritising or escalating tickets as needed.
  3. Liaise with DevOps, Infrastructure and other teams to ensure smooth operations.
  4. Contribute to relevant projects, helping to foster best practice working, and adhere to established processes.
  5. Improve the wider function by bringing new ideas to the table regarding business processes, methodologies, workflows, etc.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical support, strong technical knowledge of databases and hands-on T-SQL and SQL Server skills.
