Strategic Business Development Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Business Development Lead to join our team at Asymchem Group. In this role, you will be responsible for leading business development activities in defined regions, identifying new business opportunities, and developing and implementing work plans to meet sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business development activities in defined regions to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement work plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company's market share.
- Provide leadership and oversight of proposal development, including exploring innovative business models to differentiate Asymchem from competition.
- Identify and implement differentiated business development mechanisms to drive result-driven growth.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients to understand their long-term manufacturing strategies and ensure repeat business.
- Represent Asymchem at industry tradeshows, conferences, networking events, and client meetings to publicize the company's capabilities and expand its CDMO brand awareness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a Life Science field or related field, with an MBA, M.S., or PhD preferred.
- More than 5 years of business development/sales experience in the CRO/CDMO, Pharma & Biotech services or related healthcare industries with an existing customer network.
- Advanced experience relevant to the industry, markets, technologies, and products.
- Experience in proposal development, business quotes, budgeting, and managing to defined timelines.
- Ability to adapt to biotech companies without large organizations and provide value-added solutions to meet customer needs.
- Previous management experience, including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance of staff.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong presenter with excellent verbal and written communication skills and networking capabilities.
- Able to handle multiple customers and prioritize opportunities effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, negotiate solutions, and understand impacts on the overall offering.
Physical Requirements:
Must be willing to travel as necessary (about 50%).
