About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team as a Clinical Leadership Role. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a national charity with over 35 years of experience in delivering high-quality mental health and social care services.

Company Overview

Mental Health Matters (MHM) is a leading charity that provides services across England, from Northumberland to Plymouth. Our highly motivated and enthusiastic workforce is committed to delivering the best quality services to those in need of support. We have a positive impact on the lives of people living with mental health needs in our local communities.

About Us

We provide services primarily in Bootle and Southport, delivering a range of therapies up to and including Step 4 interventions. Our services are designed to meet the needs of clients, and we are committed to delivering a service that is flexible, as far as possible, to meet the demands of the client.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work alongside the Step 2 Leads and all members of the Step 2 Team to ensure appropriate clinical support and guidance is given to the step 2 workforce. You must be a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or a Qualified Graduate Mental Health Worker with at least 1 year post-qualification experience and can provide evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide evidence-based practice in facilitated self-help and group work
  • Develop, support, and train innovative practice to trainee & qualified PWP's and to Primary Care colleagues
  • Promote and contribute to the development and maintenance of a healthy therapeutic culture within the service amongst colleagues and the people who use the service
About You

You should have a real interest in helping people with anxiety and depression to achieve a level of recovery which will improve their overall wellbeing and day-to-day life. An understanding of PWP supervision is desirable, however, on-the-job training is available to the successful candidate, as you will be responsible for the clinical and case management supervision of both trainee and qualified PWP's.

What We Offer

In return, MHM offers excellent training and development opportunities, flexible working (where appropriate), 27 days annual leave per annum/pro rata, plus statutory holidays, and a 5% contributory pension scheme. The salary for this role is approximately £37,338 per annum, based on the location in the North West of England.
