About the Role

The Health and Safety Executive is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Recovery Specialist to join its central finance division. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in invoicing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and efficient invoices for the Building Safety Division's services;
  • Work closely with the BSD Operational Support Team to streamline processes and ensure timely reimbursement;
  • Reconcile receipts using relevant systems and resolve invoicing queries;
  • Support the development of a streamlined reimbursement process for supporting authorities;
  • Collaborate with SSCL to identify unallocated payments and ensure prompt action;
  • Provide escalation support for debt recovery activities;
  • Deal with ad-hoc tasks and provide support for other income regimes.

Essential Skills and Criteria

  • Previous experience in invoicing;
  • Competent MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel;
  • Good organizational and planning skills to deliver against a strict timetable;
  • Effective communication and influencing skills to communicate both internally and externally.

Working Arrangements

The role offers a competitive salary of £30,167 per annum, plus an additional contribution towards membership of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
