Our Services
NHS Talking Therapies services are provided to the communities of South Sefton and Southport & Formby on behalf of the NHS. Based primarily in Bootle and Southport, practitioners deliver a range of therapies up to and including Step 4 interventions.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work alongside the Step 2 Leads and all members of the Step 2 Team to ensure appropriate clinical support and guidance is given to the step 2 workforce and that the needs of the clients NHS Sefton Talking Therapies serves are being met.
You must be a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or a Qualified Graduate Mental Health Worker with at least 1 year post-qualification experience and can provide evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem.
You will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care. Duties include:
- Provide a service that is flexible, as far as possible, to meet the demands of the client.
- Have the ability to offer evidence-based practice in facilitated self-help and group work.
- Develop, support and train innovative practice to Trainee & Qualified PWP's and to Primary Care colleagues, such as health visitors and to colleagues in statutory and non-statutory organisations.
- Promote and contribute to the development and maintenance of a healthy therapeutic culture within the service amongst colleagues and the people who use the service.
About You
You should have a real interest in helping people with anxiety and depression to achieve a level of recovery which will improve their overall wellbeing and day-to-day life. An understanding of PWP supervision is desirable, however on-the-job training is available to the successful candidate, as you will be responsible for the clinical and case management supervision of both trainee and qualified PWP's.
What We Offer
In return, MHM offers excellent training and development opportunities, flexible working (where appropriate), 27 days annual leave per annum/pro rata, plus statutory holidays and a 5% contributory pension scheme. Our salary for this role is £37,338 per annum, based in NHS Sefton Talking Therapies, Stella Nova, Bootle, L20 4TZ.
