Academics Ltd is looking for a Graduate Mental Health Practitioner to join their team at a specialist school just outside of Newbury. The ideal candidate will be a recent Psychology or Criminology graduate with a passion for supporting children with psychological needs.

The students at this school face challenges related to trauma, neglect, attachment issues, and anxiety. As a Graduate Mental Health Practitioner, you will work collaboratively with the class teacher and other experienced staff members to provide emotional support and develop strategies to promote positive relationships between pupils and teachers.

You will be responsible for helping to manage pupil behavior, providing emotional support, and developing strategies to promote mental well-being. Your daily duties will involve collaborating with the class teacher and other experienced staff members to create a supportive learning environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other staff members to develop and implement individualized plans to support pupils' emotional and behavioral needs
  • Provide emotional support to pupils and help them develop healthy emotional regulation strategies
  • Help manage pupil behavior and develop strategies to promote positive relationships between pupils and teachers

**Salary:** £28,000 - £35,000 per annum
