SEN Learning Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and patient SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd in Newbury. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a small group of SEN pupils in the classroom, supporting both their learning and emotional needs.
The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Psychology or Criminology and be confident in their ability to support vulnerable young people. By working as a Learning Support Assistant, you will gain valuable experience and skills needed to undergo training as an Educational Psychologist in the future.
No two days are the same at our school, offering a unique chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will have the opportunity to shadow the psychologist and therapist based on-site, learning from them ahead of your future career.
The salary for this role is £80-£90 per day. We offer a range of benefits, including the chance to gain first-hand experience working with neurodivergent children, learn how to implement individualised support plans and learning strategies in the classroom, and shadow the psychologist and therapist based on-site.
Requirements:
- University degree in Psychology or Criminology
- C in GCSE Maths and English
- Previous experience working with children (beneficial)
