The students at our school have diverse special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, multi-sensory impairments, speech and communication challenges, and physical disabilities. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be part of a team that creates a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for these young individuals.

Your duties will include working closely with a small group of pupils, supporting their learning and emotional needs, and collaborating with the class teacher to create a stimulating classroom atmosphere. By doing so, you will play a vital role in helping each child meet their milestones and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with a small group of SEN pupils in the classroom, focusing on their learning and emotional support.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to develop individualized learning strategies and implement them effectively.
  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils, ensuring they stay on track with their work and make progress towards their goals.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Psychology or a related field, as well as a C grade in GCSE Maths and English. Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is highly desirable.
