Role Overview

A prestigious institution in Newbury, Academics, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Classroom Support Professional to provide vital support to students with Complex Learning Disabilities and significant Mental, Social and Emotional Needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with children who display challenging behaviour and require additional assistance throughout the school day. This role offers a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge of SEN and gain valuable experience working alongside qualified therapists, behaviour consultants, and psychologists.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent behaviour management skills, education surrounding Special Educational Needs, and experience in a professional or home environment. As a member of the Academics team, you will contribute to creating a supportive learning environment that fosters growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Providing one-to-one and small group support to students in need
  2. Assisting with lesson planning and implementation
  3. Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to develop strategies for student success
