Job Description

We are seeking a Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at one of our schools in Newbury, West Berkshire. The successful candidate will work with students on a 1-1 basis, providing consistent support and encouragement to help them achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them develop healthy coping mechanisms and self-regulation techniques.
  • To identify triggers and work with students to develop strategies for managing challenging situations.
  • To collaborate with on-site psychologists, safeguarding officers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychology or criminology, with experience working with vulnerable young people. A graduate degree and relevant qualifications are essential.
