Job Summary

Are you a motivated and organized individual looking for a challenging role in the nuclear sector? We are seeking a Human Resources Associate to join our team at National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL). As a key member of our HR Support Team, you will provide first-line advisory support to employees and line managers, ensuring the smooth delivery of HR services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR generalist support to employees and line managers, including process documentation and transactions, personnel record maintenance, and HR document preparation.
  • Work with HR data reports and provide metrics to internal customers, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of HR data.
  • Ensure internal databases are maintained and updated, including our Internal Management System of documents.
  • Provide excellent customer service and be the first point of contact for HR queries received by email and telephone.
  • Support a range of HR processes, including onboarding, absences, leavers, and other HR tasks.
  • Maintain process flows and user guide documentation for HR processes.
  • Participate in project delivery within the HR team.
  • Proactively recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with and contribute to risk management, governance, and assurance processes in HR.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience of working within HR.
  • Confident in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Good organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong phone, email, and in-person communication skills, with enthusiasm to deliver excellent customer service.
  • A willingness and determination to learn.
  • Able to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance.

Desirable Criteria:

  • CIPD qualification or working towards.
  • Experience of working with Business World ERP System.
