Human Resources Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Human Resources Associate to join our team at National Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our HR Support Team, you will provide first-line advisory support to our employees and line managers, delivering an excellent level of service and ensuring the smooth operation of our HR processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide HR generalist support to employees and line managers, including process documentation, transaction processing, and personnel record maintenance.
- Prepare HR documents, such as employment contracts and contractual changes, and provide guidance to employees.
- Work with HR data reports and provide metrics to internal customers.
- Ensure internal databases are maintained and updated, including our Internal Management System of documents.
- Provide excellent customer service and be the first point of contact for HR queries received by email and telephone.
- Support a range of HR processes, including onboarding, absences, leavers, and other HR tasks.
- Maintain process flows and user guide documentation for HR processes.
- Participate in project delivery within the HR team.
- Proactively recommend and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with and contribute to risk management, governance, and assurance processes in HR.
Requirements:
- Experience of working within HR.
- Confident in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
- Good organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong phone, email, and in-person communication skills, with a willingness to deliver excellent customer service.
- Able to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.
- Ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance.
