Residential Childcare Support Worker Opportunity

About the Role
As a Waking Night Support Worker at Area Camden, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of children during night shifts. This role requires empathy, compassion, and effective communication skills to provide person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure the physical, social, and emotional well-being of children in our residential service
- To engage with children through activities and provide bedtime routines tailored to their needs
- To maintain accurate records and report any incidents or concerns
- To work collaboratively with colleagues and out-of-hours services to provide comprehensive support
Requirements
- Experience working with children and young people
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Organisational skills and ability to plan and prepare work
- Commitment to undertaking a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (if not already held)

Salary
The salary for this role is £27,431.04 rising to £28,326.48 per annum on successful completion of probation, or £28,959.84 per annum for qualified candidates.
