Job Description

We are seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to join our team at Area Camden, providing a comprehensive residential service to children and young people. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the physical, social, and emotional well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities

  1. To ensure the safety and welfare of each child during night shifts
  2. To engage with children through activities and provide bedtime routines tailored to their needs
  3. To maintain accurate records and report any incidents or concerns
  4. To work collaboratively with colleagues and out-of-hours services to provide comprehensive support

Essential Skills

  • Experience working with children and young people
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Organisational skills and ability to plan and prepare work
  • Commitment to undertaking a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (if not already held)

Salary

The salary for this role is £27,431.04 rising to £28,326.48 per annum on successful completion of probation, or £28,959.84 per annum for qualified candidates.
