About the Job

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Support Worker to join our team at Area Camden. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of children during night shifts, engaging with them through activities, and providing bedtime routines tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure the physical, social, and emotional well-being of children in our residential service
  • To engage with children through activities and provide bedtime routines tailored to their needs
  • To maintain accurate records and report any incidents or concerns
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and out-of-hours services to provide comprehensive support

Requirements

  • Experience working with children and young people
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Organisational skills and ability to plan and prepare work
  • Commitment to undertaking a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (if not already held)

Salary

The salary for this role is £27,431.04 rising to £28,326.48 per annum on successful completion of probation, or £28,959.84 per annum for qualified candidates.
