Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a highly skilled Child Protection Social Worker to join our team.

The estimated salary for this role is £38,000 - £47,000 per annum.

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration to lead safeguarding efforts and ensure the well-being of children and young people in Cambridgeshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, engaging with families, and producing reports that prioritize the needs of children.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as the lead professional in safeguarding matters, escalating concerns as necessary;
- Undertake assessments to identify needs and develop SMART targets;
- Engage with children, young people, and their families to build effective relationships;
- Produce child-focused reports and plans for various forums.

Requirements

- A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification;
- Ability to work from various locations and travel independently countywide;
