Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, United Kingdom NHS National Services Scotland Full time
Palliative Care Opportunity

An exciting chance to join our team as a Clinical Fellow in Palliative Medicine has arisen at NHS Lanarkshire. This full-time position comes with a 1 in 5 on-call commitment, but applicants who wish to work less than full-time are encouraged to apply.

Main duties will involve the care of inpatients at St Andrew's Hospice in Airdrie or Kilbryde Hospice in East Kilbride as part of the medical and multidisciplinary team. Work with community and hospital teams will depend on the experience of the successful candidate.

Individuals who have trained outside the UK process will be supported in this role with a robust induction period to help them integrate into the role. You will initially work 40 hours per week and following your period of support, you will move onto the full rota, for which you will incur a full banding supplement.

A competitive salary of approximately £38,000-£42,000 per annum is available for this role, depending on experience. Additionally, accommodation may be available for those who reside outside the NHS Lanarkshire area for an initial period of 3 months to allow successful candidates to relocate to the area.

We are committed to recruiting a workforce that fully reflects the diverse make-up of our society. A place where every individual can thrive, develop, and succeed based on skill, knowledge, and talent, regardless of race, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or any other dimension that can be used to differentiate people from one another.

NHS Lanarkshire has a legal obligation to ensure that it does not employ any worker who has not been granted the relevant permission to work in the UK. Candidates who require a Certificate of Sponsorship can access further information on the UK Border Agency's new points-based system at www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk.
