This is an exciting opportunity for a Medical Secretary to join our Team at University Hospital Monklands. The post holder must have a minimum of 2 years experience of working with large volume databases as well as extensive administration experience as they will be the admin lead for the Lanarkshire Hepatitis Database. You will provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to a Physician/General Surgeon/Dental Consultant, Nurse Specialist or group of Physicians/Surgeons/Dental Consultants, Associate Specialists, Nurse Specialists and PAM Specialists. You will be responsible for maintaining a pending system for all results and ensuring these are seen by the appropriate consultants. You will also be responsible for ensuring that patient information on Theatre System is accurate and up to date. Also responsible for producing and circulating theatre lists as required.

**KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB**
- HNC/SVQ lll in Secretarial Studies/Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of a range of work procedures, some of which are non routine requiring an intermediate level of theoretical knowledge.
- Knowledge of the range of secretarial procedures which includes advanced keyboard skills.
- Proficient in use of software systems.
- Understanding of medical terms; RSA3 and knowledge acquired through further experience.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
