**The Role**:
An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated AdvancedPractitioner to join the Acute Service based in the Medical High Dependency Unit. They will work autonomously, potentially during the in and out of hours period, covering seven days including public holidays. They will be responsible for the clinical decision making of this population including assessment and treatment of patients..

The Advanced Practitioner will work collaboratively with a dynamic acute multidisciplinary team providing assessment, clinical care and management of both stable and acutely unwell patient and his/her family. Making complex decisions using advanced skills and knowledge, having overall responsibility for the assessment of care needs and the delivery of advanced care. Working within and demonstrating the four pillars of advanced practice to achieve safe patient centred care.

**What we'll need you to bring**:

- Registered Nurse / AHP / Pharmacist with valid NMC/HCPC / GPHC Registration.
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced clinical practice and expertise within speciality /
- area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.
- Advanced Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality.
- Evidence of further developed knowledge and experience in management and/or leadership.
- Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification.
- The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate and influence others and work using own initiative.
- Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and effective time management skills.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
- Car driver with full UK valid driving licence

**Contract type**:

- Permanent
- Full time
- 37.5 hours

**Location and Working Pattern**:

- This role will be based within University Hospital Monklands
- The working pattern for this role will be varied
