**The Role**:
University Hospital Monklands has two fantastic opportunities for Advanced Practitioners. You will work autonomously across Primary, Community and Acute Services during the in and out of hours period, covering seven days including public holidays. They will be responsible for the clinical decision making for the population including assessment and treatment of patients in across the Acute care setting.

You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), communicating on a daily basis about any patient they have seen who needs to be followed up by other services.

You will be responsible for providing assessment, clinical care and management of both stable and acutely unwell patients and his/her family, making complex, autonomous decisions using advanced skills and knowledge, having overall responsibility for the assessment of care needs and the delivery of advanced care. Medical telehealth/telephone support will be available when required from an identified source.

**What we'll need you to bring**:

- NMC Registered Nurse / AHP / Pharmacist with valid NMC/HCPC / GPHC Registration
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level
- Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced clinical practice and expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality
- Advanced Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality
- Evidence of further developed knowledge and experience in management and/or leadership
- Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
- The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate and influence others and work using own initiative
- Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and effective time management skills
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
- Car driver with full a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence
- Flexibility required with rotational shifts / working hours

**It would be great if you also have**:

- ALS Provider / Instructor
- Non-medical Prescriber
- Experience in delivering education / training
- Experience of working with critically ill / high acuity patients
- Evidence of working at Charge Nurse / Senior Charge Nurse Level
- Evidence of personal contribution to service planning and redesign projects
- Understanding of clinical management pathways
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of quality improvement / research and audit
- Advanced Assessment skills
- Evidence of practicing advanced clinical skills (NIV/ ECG interpretation/ABG) etc
- Ability to work unsocial hours and change working hours to meet service demands
- Ability to demonstrate evidence of working autonomously

**Contract type**:
Fixed Term for 1 year

Full time

37 hours

This role will be based within University Hospital Monklands.
