Mental Health Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Cornwall. This is a field-based position, requiring the ability to work independently and manage caseloads effectively.
The successful candidate will have experience of supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses, as well as working closely with specialist providers to deliver support and promote independence.
Key responsibilities include providing appropriate care according to individual Support plans, developing and maintaining relationships with referral partners, and conducting risk assessments to ensure the service remains suitable for customers.
A full understanding of safeguarding and welfare benefits is essential, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
This is a full-time, 2-month contract with the possibility of extension, and an essential car user allowance is provided. The role is based in the Cornwall area, and a car is necessary for driving between customers.
Job Requirements:
- An understanding of support needs and support planning
- Experience of risk assessing and risk management
- A great communicator with the ability to develop relationships
- Accurate record keeping and computer skills
- Confident in lone working
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of welfare and housing benefits
- A full understanding of safeguarding
Estimated Salary: £14,456 per annum (£28.44 per hour)
