Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Cornwall. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable individuals with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to customers living in the community, working closely with specialist providers to deliver support and promote independence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners, including local Mental Health Teams and Adult Social Care in Cornwall Council.
- Assess needs and risks, ensuring the service remains suitable for customers and completing regular risk assessments.
- Manage caseloads, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Requirements:
- An understanding of support needs and support planning.
- Experience of risk assessing and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of welfare and housing benefits.
- A full understanding of safeguarding.
What We Offer:
This is a full-time, 2-month contract with the possibility of extension. The role will be field-based in the Cornwall area, and a car user allowance will be provided as a car is essential for the position.
