Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated veterinarian to join our team at GLG Vets in Cornwall. As part of our vibrant and growing veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional animal care while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

About the Role

This full-time position comes with a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum and a shared weekend rota of 1 in 3 Saturdays, with no out-of-hours work. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on various animals
  • Conducting surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and minor surgeries
  • Collaborating with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Providing guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A veterinary degree from a recognized institution
  • A valid veterinary license to practice in the UK
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • A compassionate and caring approach to animals
