Compensation Package
We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, reflecting the local market standards for a skilled Veterinary Surgeon in the UK. This compensation package includes annual leave plus Bank Holidays, CPD Allowance, and payment of professional fees such as VDS, RCVS, and BVA.
Key Responsibilities
This full-time position involves providing routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments for a variety of animals. You will conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries. Effective collaboration with veterinary nurses and support staff ensures comprehensive care for patients. Providing guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness is also an essential aspect of this role. Accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress must be maintained.
Qualifications and Skills Required
A veterinary degree from a recognized institution and valid veterinary license to practice in the UK are mandatory requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective teamwork and interaction with pet owners. Compassion, empathy, and a caring approach towards animals are critical qualities for this role.Independence and ability to work effectively in a team environment are highly valued.
