Job Opportunity: Commercial and Administrative Manager

This exciting role requires a commercially sound, curious, and motivated individual to manage the office and maintain the accounts function. The ideal candidate will have a confident and analytical approach, with the ability to collate data, produce reports, and spot trends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the sales ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Calculate overpayments and implement effective credit control measures.
  • Review unpaid debts with the team to maximize receipts.
  • Manage the purchase ledger, processing invoices and arranging BACS payments.
  • Oversee the credit card management and analysis, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor petty cash expenditure and ensure adherence to budget allocations.
  • Prepare payroll information for the Payroll Bureau and manage monthly payments of PAYE/NI.
  • Monitor management charges and spend against budgets.
  • Manage bank accounts, investments, and cash flow.
  • Arrange the investment of surplus cash deposits in accordance with charity policy.
  • Work with Sage Line 50 accounting software, calculating and inputting monthly journals.
  • Deal with ongoing contracts, such as insurance, utility agreements, and mobile phones.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and input to key decisions.
  • Organize meetings and appointments, including board and AGM meetings.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes and assist with setup.
  • Perform payroll duties and review and update policies and procedures.
