Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust as a Clinical Psychologist. As a key member of our mental health services, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and focused decision-making to determine the most appropriate clinical pathway for each referral.

The role involves acting as a senior decision-maker for patients referred to our Mental Health Together Service, identifying and offering prompt assessment and interventions. You will also act in a supervisory capacity to support practitioners in decision-making for complex and high-risk referrals.

In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our external partners, providing evidence-based treatment and care to patients in need. You will assess complex patients, who may present a high risk, and offer interventions when appropriate.

Main Duties:

  • Act as a senior decision-maker for patients referred to our Mental Health Together Service.
  • Supervise practitioners in decision-making for complex and high-risk referrals.
  • Offer expert advice and support to all professionals referring into our service.
  • Develop excellent relationships with internal and external partner agencies.
  • Work collaboratively with our Mental Health Together Team Manager to ensure highest standards of practice and service delivery.

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes annual leave allowance starting at 27 days per year (when working full-time) + Bank Holidays, access to the fantastic NHS pension scheme, eligibility for the Blue Light Card (discount service), realistic flexible working options, excellent local schools and community amenities, and a generous relocation package available to eligible staff.
