We have an exciting opportunity for A deputy service director to join the North Directorate team on a six-month secondment.

The role will support the directorate with a portfolio of services which include Early Intervention in Psychosis services, Community Mental Health Service, Rehabilitation services, Hospital Liaison and the development of Mental Health Together. The post holder will have direct line management responsibility for Liaison, Crisis Home Treatment and Rapid Response Services. 

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the delivery of KMPT strategy supporting the SLT with the development of robust business plans, the setting of relevant operational targets, and for the delivery of its activities within agreed budgets and to agreed standards. To lead, with the Head of Nursing & Quality, Clinical and Service Director effective working of governance structures, roles and responsibilities based on multi-disciplinary approaches with an emphasis on collaborative leadership and team working. To work closely and forge trusted relationships with all place-based partners including third-sector organisations, local authorities, acute trusts and other external stakeholders. To ensure there are mechanisms in place to involve key stakeholders in all aspects of service planning and delivery, to develop culturally sensitive services and to ensure fair access to services irrespective of gender, sexuality, religion, culture, race or disability. As required take a leadership role for trust-wide Programmes. Maintains a culture of financial control and financial awareness amongst all services. Represents the organisation in a variety of forums ensuring the Trust strategy is aligned with system developments.

Role responsibility includes deputising for the Service Director and covering the day-to-day management of all the services within the directorate through the clinical staff and managers as required.
