Job Overview

Transformation Unit seeks a highly skilled Clinical Lead to spearhead the development and implementation of mental health services for children and young people across Kent & Medway.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional with a passion for early intervention emotional wellbeing and mental health support. As a key member of our team, you will lead on the clinical delivery of services, ensuring high-quality provision that is consistent across the county.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Collaborate with senior clinical and operational colleagues to develop and implement MHSTs in line with the transformation agenda for children and young people's mental health services.
  • Evidence-based Practice: Engage in and establish links between higher education institutions, NELFT research and development, quality improvement, and the clinical offer provided by Kent & Medway MHSTs.
  • Consistency and Quality: Ensure county-wide consistency in clinical delivery, continuously monitoring and reviewing to ensure high-quality services up-to-date with the latest research and evidence base.
  • Partnerships and Community Work: Work in partnership with schools, the wider community, and other agencies to support children and young people experiencing mild to moderate emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties and their families.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice (e.g., psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist).
  • Eligibility: Eligible for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (e.g., HCPC, BACP, UKCP, AFT, ACP).
Experience
  • Extensive experience working with CYP within Mental Health settings and at an 8a or above level or equivalent.
  • Strategic work with wider health and education systems.
  • Therapeutic work with parents/carers/families of children and young people with complex mental health problems.
  • Clinical supervision of post-graduate qualified psychological practitioners.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £62,000 - £82,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits including flexible working, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.
