Strategic Mental Health Clinical Leader

Transformation Unit seeks a highly skilled Clinical Lead to spearhead the development and implementation of mental health services for children and young people across Kent & Medway.
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced professional with a passion for early intervention emotional wellbeing and mental health support. As a key member of our team, you will lead on the clinical delivery of services, ensuring high-quality provision that is consistent across the county.
Responsibilities- Leadership: Collaborate with senior clinical and operational colleagues to develop and implement MHSTs in line with the transformation agenda for children and young people's mental health services.
- Evidence-based Practice: Engage in and establish links between higher education institutions, NELFT research and development, quality improvement, and the clinical offer provided by Kent & Medway MHSTs.
- Consistency and Quality: Ensure county-wide consistency in clinical delivery, continuously monitoring and reviewing to ensure high-quality services up-to-date with the latest research and evidence base.
- Partnerships and Community Work: Work in partnership with schools, the wider community, and other agencies to support children and young people experiencing mild to moderate emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties and their families.
- Qualifications: Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice (e.g., psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist).
- Eligibility: Eligible for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (e.g., HCPC, BACP, UKCP, AFT, ACP).
- Extensive experience working with CYP within Mental Health settings and at an 8a or above level or equivalent.
- Strategic work with wider health and education systems.
- Therapeutic work with parents/carers/families of children and young people with complex mental health problems.
- Clinical supervision of post-graduate qualified psychological practitioners.
The salary for this role is £62,000 - £82,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits including flexible working, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.
