Diagnostic Support Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in the Cellular Pathology department at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This role involves supporting diagnostic services by handling, preparing, and tracking samples, as well as providing consultant support during specimen dissection.

About the Role

This permanent full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic and ability to follow complex procedures to contribute to the initial detection and diagnosis of cancer and other diseases. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will work closely with Biomedical Scientists, MLA team leaders, and clinical staff to ensure seamless sample processing and patient data entry.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Literacy and numeracy skills to at least GCSE or equivalent level
