We are seeking a highly skilled and organised Senior Dental Practice Manager to join our team at the Ministry of Defence (Defence Medical Services). As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Health Care Dental Centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake CPD in core subjects, including medical emergencies, infection prevention control, disinfection and decontamination, radiography and radiation protection, legal and ethical issues, and handling complaints.
  • Manage and supervise referrals to Specialist Practitioners and Secondary Care facilities, liaising with patients to ensure appointments are attended and documentation is returned to the Dental Centre on completion of treatment.
  • Ensure systems are in place to allow patients to claim approved costs associated with the provision of dental care and work with unit admin staff to ensure these costs are correctly audited, informing the Regional Headquarters of all expenditure.

Candidates who hold qualifications but are not yet registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) are eligible to apply for this vacancy. However, if found successful, it is a requirement that you are registered with the GDC prior to starting in the post.

The salary for this role is £43,000 per annum, which is competitive and reflective of the skills and experience required for the position. We also offer a range of benefits, including access to the NHS pension scheme and flexible working arrangements.
