About the Role

The SARC Manager will play a pivotal role in developing a strategic vision for the service, ensuring changes meet internal and external expectations and budgetary constraints. This includes coordinating and delivering safe and effective services to all clients of the SARC, meeting national and local targets in relation to rape and sexual assault.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the multi-agency Centre and services, developing and implementing strategies to improve access and service delivery.
  • Manage all employees associated with the SARC, ensuring they have the necessary training and support to deliver high-quality services.
  • Evaluate and assess current service delivery, implementing changes in practice that deliver significant and substantial improvements.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (NMC) with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification
  • Basic Life Support (Training Provided)
  • Working with vulnerable people
  • Excellent communication skills and styles
  • Proven strong judgement and analysis
  • Venepuncture trained
  • Managerial experience
  • Trained to complete forensic examinations
  • Awareness of SARC commissioning
