We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SARC Manager to lead our clinical forensic healthcare team at Mountain Healthcare. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in providing dedicated support and care to victims of sexual assault.
The SARC Manager will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to the smooth running of the SARC, effectively leading and managing this multi-agency Centre and services. This includes developing a strategic vision for the service, ensuring changes meet internal and external expectations, and managing budgetary constraints.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical forensic healthcare, with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience as a Registered Nurse (NMC). They will possess excellent communication skills, strong judgement and analysis, and be trained in venepuncture and forensic examinations.
The SARC Manager will work closely with our team to deliver safe and effective services to all clients of the SARC, meeting national and local targets in relation to rape and sexual assault. They will also be responsible for evaluating and assessing current service delivery, implementing changes in practice that deliver significant and substantial improvements in access and service delivery, while working within a budget.
The successful candidate will be required to be flexible to cover on-call shifts as and when required and to travel to SARC's if needed. They will also be subject to pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced DBS check, two satisfactory references, and Police vetting NVVP Level 2 checks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver safe and effective services to all clients of the SARC
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the service
- Manage budgetary constraints and ensure changes meet internal and external expectations
- Lead and manage the multi-agency Centre and services
- Evaluate and assess current service delivery and implement changes in practice
- Manage all employees associated with the SARC
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (NMC) with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
- Basic Life Support (Training Provided)
- Working with vulnerable people
- Excellent communication skills and styles
- Proven strong judgement and analysis
- Venepuncture trained
- Managerial experience
- Trained to complete forensic examinations
- Awareness of SARC commissioning
