About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SARC Manager to join our team at Mountain Healthcare. As a critical member of our organisation, you will play a pivotal role in providing dedicated support and care to victims of sexual assault.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to the smooth running of the SARC, effectively leading and managing this multi-agency Centre and services. You will develop a strategic vision for the service, ensuring changes meet internal and external expectations and budgetary constraints.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience to take on a challenging and rewarding role. You will be responsible for managing all employees associated with the SARC and will be required to be flexible to cover on-call shifts as and when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver safe and effective services to all clients of the SARC, meeting national and local targets in relation to rape and sexual assault.
  • Evaluate and assess current service delivery, implementing changes in practice that deliver significant and substantial improvements in access and service delivery, whilst working within a budget.
  • Manage all employees associated with the SARC.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (NMC) with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Basic Life Support (Training Provided).
  • Working with vulnerable people.
  • Excellent communication skills and styles.
  • Proven strong judgement and analysis.
  • Venepuncture trained.
  • Managerial experience.
  • Trained to complete forensic examinations.
  • Awareness of SARC commissioning.
